Commonly used to enrich the surface carbon content of steel that case hardening provides. This is intended to produce a high-hardness, wear-resistant surface supported by a tenacious core.
Medium hardenability steel that will achieve high strength levels after case hardening. It is ideal for parts that require core mechanical resistance in the 80 120 Kgf/mm2 (800-1200 MPa or N/mm2) range.
Used to fabricate large or medium size gears, and pinion shafts for reducers.
